IPod click wheel not working after getting wet?

Two weeks ago I spilled a little bit of water on my ipod. I let it dry for a week in a bag of rice, on a window sill with lots of sunlight, etc and still the click wheel does not work. I have reset it, restored it, and still nothing. It still can connect to my computer, and I can still play music if I shake it and put it on shuffle. However, neither the click wheel nor the center button respond. The battery barely holds a charge. What can I do? I have had it for over a year and a half, so my Apple warranty has expired. Can I or Apple still fix it (if so, does it cost much?), or is it a goner? Thanks.
