Can anyone help me on this letterman jacket?

So im in high school and I lettered in football. I got my letterman jacket in and now I'm doing track. I want to put this patch on my jacket that says "track" but do you have to letter in track to do that? I mean the letterman jacket place would do it for me but I don't know if it would be right. Any suggestions?
